LYNCHBURG, VA. – In a tightly contested match, the Southern Virginia University women's soccer team came up short against the University of Lynchburg with a final score of 0-2.
Game Scoring Summary:
- 5:04 into the first half, Meghan Lauder scored, assisted by Victoria Newman
- At the 23:43 mark of the first half, Sejal Wellington added another goal
Despite their efforts, the Knights could not find the back of the net and secure a victory. The Hornets' defense held strong throughout the match, denying any scoring opportunities from Southern Virginia.
The Knights will continue to work hard and prepare for their upcoming match against Methodist, commencing conference competition on Saturday, September 23, in Knight Stadium.
