Fayetteville, NC - Southern Virginia women's basketball team encountered a tough challenge, falling 38-57 in conference play against Methodist University at the Riddle Center Gymnasium. Despite a valiant effort, the Knights faced early adversity, briefly taking the lead just four seconds into the game. However, they encountered difficulties finding their offensive rhythm, resulting in their lowest-scoring quarter of the season. Despite this setback, the Knights showcased resilience, mounting a spirited effort in the second quarter, outscoring Methodist 15-8. Camilla Norton's clutch three-pointers injected a surge of energy, narrowing the halftime deficit to a mere three points.

While the Knights displayed flashes of brilliance, they faced challenges sustaining momentum after halftime, with Methodist extending their lead. Despite a spirited defensive effort in the final quarter, the Knights were unable to overcome their offensive struggles.
