Southern Virginia Men's Volleyball Extends Undefeated Streak to 19-0 with Convincing Victory Against Maroons

Salem, VA - The Southern Virginia men's volleyball team continued their undefeated streak, reaching 19-0 overall and maintaining a perfect 4-0 record in conference play with a convincing 3-0 victory over Roanoke College. This marked their 19th consecutive sweep of the season.

The Knights dominated the Maroons with a swift and decisive performance, securing set wins of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-13. Southern Virginia showcased their prowess by preventing any service aces from Roanoke and delivering eight of their own. Throughout all three sets, the Knights maintained an impressive .417 hitting percentage. Jeremy Brown led the game in kills with ten, while Justin Madsen excelled in digs, leading with a total of 11.

Christian Sheaffer, recognized as the AVCA Division III Player of the Week, continued his outstanding performance with eight kills and two blocks in the match, maintaining a remarkable .429 hitting percentage.

Samuel Candland contributed significantly with 7 kills on an impressive .875 hitting percentage, and Tyler Sheaffer showcased his playmaking skills with 21 assists during the game.

Looking ahead, the Knights will return home for a matchup against Lancaster Bible on Saturday, March 9th, before concluding the season with remaining conference play.
