Spartanburg, SC - The men's golf team saw a remarkable 19-stroke improvement on day 2 of the USA South Men's Golf Championship, positioning them in fourth place behind Methodist University, North Carolina Wesleyan University, and Greensboro College.

Nick Johnson stole the spotlight with an impressive display, tallying 5 birdies on the back nine for a total of 6, showcasing his potential for greatness. Despite encountering 6 bogeys, the team managed to shoot even par, reflecting a strong collective effort. Nick's tied for 8th place, hinting at a promising finish if he maintains momentum.

Brogan Bennett delivered a stellar performance, shooting 3 under on the back 9, finishing at 2 over. With a total of +4, he's within striking distance of breaking the school record of +7 for 54 holes set by Nathan Ouimette in 2019. Bennett currently holds 6th place.

Michael McCaffrey demonstrated consistent play throughout the day, though a few unfortunate breaks hindered his score, leaving him tied for 21st.

Luke Wilson rebounded impressively from Day 1, closing with a birdie on the final hole to improve his score, also tied for 21st.
