Southern Virginia Women's Tennis Advance To USA South Championship

Rocky Mount, N.C -  The Southern Virginia women's tennis team secured their spot in the USA South women's championship game after a commanding victory over Methodist University in the USA South women's tennis tournament semi-finals.

The Knights set the tone with dominant performances in doubles play. Paula Snelson and Jillian Arnold clinched a convincing 8-2 win in the #1 spot, while Lydia Delich and Nadia Molanphy mirrored their success with another 8-2 victory in the #3 spot. Despite a shaky start, Remly Fry and Lia Savage rallied to claim an 8-4 win in the #2 doubles spot.

In singles, Snelson continued her impressive form with a 6-0, 6-3 victory, setting the stage for Lia Savage to secure the win with a solid 6-2, 6-2 performance.

With their sights set on their program's first championship crown, the Knights eagerly anticipate tomorrow's final, scheduled for 10:00 AM on the N.C. Wesleyan campus.
