GREENSBORO, N.C. - On Wednesday evening, the Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team fell to the league leading Greensboro Pride in three sets, ending their seven game win streak.
After a competitive first ten points of the opening frame, the Pride began to take control of the game.
Eventually, they scored the final six points to clinch a 1-0 lead, holding the Knights to just 8 kills in the process.
Quick starts in the second and third also propelled them to victory to close their second victory against the defending champions this season.
Emma Broadbent managed seven kills to lead the team while Gracie Fulton collected 12 digs. Despite the loss, Southern Virginia sits tied for second place with Salem in the USA South standings.
Looking Ahead
To close out the regular season, the Knights host Methodist for Senior Day as Daisy Oviedo and Gracie Fulton will lace them up for their final regular season game in Knight Arena. Gametime is set for 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 8th.
