BUENA VISTA, Va. - On Saturday afternoon, the Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team avenged an early season loss to Methodist, defeating the Monarchs in straight sets on senior day in Knight Arena.
The Knights trailed for just one point the entire afternoon as Methodist had a difficult time stopping a lethal Knights attack.
Aubrey Packer recorded yet another 20 kill outing, putting her over 400 kills for the season. Gracie Fulton added 8 digs to lead the team defensively in her final regular season game inside Knight Arena.
Daisy Oviedo, who's been a part of two conference championship teams, was the other senior to be recognized in her final home game and saw action in the second set.
With the win, the Knights locked up the second seed in the upcoming USA South Tournament. They finish the regular season with 20 wins for the fourth time in five years, and own a 14-4 mark in league play.
Looking Ahead
The team will remain home for their opening matchup in the USA South Tournament, as they play host to the Pacers of Willam Peace on Tuesday, November 11th at 6:00 PM.
