Buena Vista, VA - It was another successful weekend for the Southern Virginia University men's volleyball team as they improved their record to 6-0. The Knights swept their victory over Lancaster Bible thanks to a balanced attack and another stellar defensive performance from Justin Madsen.

After an early three-point lead for the Knights, the Chargers regrouped to tie the score 6-6. Shortly after, Christian Sheaffer and Jeremy Brown assembled a dominant stretch to claim the first set, 25-14. Southern Virginia's defense proved formidable by causing five attacking errors to clinch the early advantage.

Gehrig Tolman set Kyler Evans at will in the middle of the floor to open the second set, giving the senior from Gilbert, Arizona, three kills in the early going. The Knights kept the momentum throughout the second to ultimately claim another set, putting them on the verge of another sweep. Southern Virginia's services were also coming along and presented a challenge for the Chargers.

The beginning of the third set was highlighted by a flurry of service errors from both sides. Gehrig Tolman finally broke the stalemate and led the Knights to five consecutive points to open the score. Jason Wang's play at the net also became noticeable as he recorded two more blocks in the third to finish with a team-leading four.
