Southern Virginia Women's Swimming Honored With CSCAA Scholar All-America Award

Buena Vista, VA - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its selections for the Scholar All-America Award for the 2025 Spring semester.

With a cumulative team GPA of 3.61, the Southern Virginia University women's swim team earned its place as an honoree. To qualify for the award, teams must have finished the Spring semester with at least a 3.00 GPA.

The recognition celebrates the academic success of teams from all levels. Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, praised the honorees. "These teams exemplify what it means to be true student-athletes. Their dedication to academic excellence, alongside their athletic commitments, is both impressive and inspiring. The CSCAA is proud to recognize and celebrate their hard work and achievement."

The Knights enjoyed a wildly successful campaign in 2024-2025. In addition to the academic success, they won a second Independent South Conference championship in four seasons.

Fifteen student-athletes from Head Coach Jennifer Jensen's squad contributed to the successful semester in the classroom.
