ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Southern Virginia University women's basketball team took down another USA South foe on their way to a fourth straight victory, defeating North Carolina Wesleyan 64-53.
The Knights used efficient shooting in the first half to jump out to a double-digit lead, while allowing just five points in the second quarter.
Maria Savvun continued her hot shooting with a couple of threes and was Southern Virginia's leading scorer.
In the second half, the hosts found a way to break through the Southern Virginia wall, outsourcing the Knights in each of the final two quarters. However, Savvun and company kept scoring as well to maintain their double-digit advantage.

Anna Kimball was a force in the paint, recording three blocks to go along with 12 points. Maria Savvun led the scoring with 19 points and five threes while Abigail Snyder finished with 16 points.
