GREENSBORO, N.C. - Just a week out from the regular season finale, the Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team paid a visit to Greensboro College for the first time since winning the USA South championship on their floor one season ago.
However, the night belonged to Pride as they defeated the Knights for the second this season, doing so in four sets.
During a rollercoaster opening set, Greensboro managed to fend off Southern Virginia after the Knights almost completed a seven point comeback.
The Pride then comfortably claimed two of the next three sets to complete a regular season sweep of the Knights.
Ryann Vail registered five blocks and Anne Downs added six aces, a career high.
Looking Ahead
The team will now look toward their senior day on Saturday, October 24th. They'll host Meredith at 2:00 PM. Recognition of seniors will occur at the conclusion of the match.
