BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Southern Virginia University women's lacrosse team finds themselves in good form heading into spring break.
The Knights dominated possession and caused 25 turnovers in a 20-0 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan.
The opening quarter is when Southern Virginia put their foot on the gas, scoring 9 goals in the opening ten minutes to blow the game open.
Sydney Knight scored the opening goal in a game that saw her register a career high of three goals and four points. May Webb added a couple in the second quarter helping the Knights to a 14-0 lead before the half.
Southern Virginia made it difficult for the Bishops to make any clears, keeping them hemmed in their defensive zone for most of the day.

Ellie Patterson, one of the nation's best in caused turnovers per game, caused seven turnovers to lead both teams. Sydney Bastian caused six, a career high, and added six ground balls.
By the time the final buzzer sounded, nine different players had scored for Southern Virginia, including Berkli Jones who recorded her first-ever collegiate goal late in the third.
Looking Ahead
On Saturday, March 21st, the Knights will visit Methodist for another league contest. The opening draw is set for 12:00 PM. They're looking for their first win over the Monarchs since 2023.
