BUENA VISTA, Va. - In just their third home game of the season, the Southern Virginia University women's volleyball team has won consecutive games for the first time this season after a sweep of Mary Baldwin on Tuesday evening.
The visitors managed to hang tough in the early stages of the first set. With the score knotted at 11, Summer Hahn helped the Knights surge into the lead behind five aces.
Ryann Vail eventually closed things out with a kill, one of eight from the senior middle blocker.
The Knights saw contributions from all over the roster throughout the game. Chloe Murray returned from injury to dish out nine assists, a season high. Clara Soulier appeared in her second collegiate game and notched the first kill of her career.
After cruising to 2-0 lead after a 25-12 decision in the second, Soulier's kill in the third followed by a Mary Baldwin attacking error clinched a second straight win for Southern Virginia.

Anne Downs led the attack with 9 kills and added 18 digs, while Ryann Vail, the USA South's leading blocker, had another four rejections.
Baylee Mirabal added five more aces to Hahn's six, giving the Knights a massive edge in serving with 15 aces compared to two from Salem.
