BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia women's soccer team lost their match against Penn St.-Harrisburg on Saturday night by a score of 3-1.
The Lions (4-7, 1-1 CAC) opened up the scoring with a goal in the 17th minute. The Knights (3-6, 0-2 CAC) answered in the 35th minute with a goal by freshman Lydia Adams, the first of her career.
The Lions scored again before the close of the first half, and finished with another in the 83rd minute.
The Knights took 12 shots to the Lion's eight.
Goalkeeper Rachel Miller finished with five saves on the night, including a blocked penalty kick.
Southern Virginia will travel to Newport News, Va. on Tuesday to take on Christopher Newport. Kickoff will be at 6 p.m. EST.
