Women's Soccer Snags Road Win

DOVER, Del.-The Southern Virginia women's soccer team defeated Wesley College on Saturday night by a score of 2-1, earning their first conference win of the year. 

Wesley (4-6-1, 0-4 CAC) got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 23rd minute, but the Knights (4-7, 1-3 CAC) answered with two goals of their own in the 2nd half, one by Lydia Adams and the other by Lily Winterton, the first of her career. Winterton's goal was assisted by Ayrdrie Palmer.

Southern Virginia dominated the ball, taking 25 shots to the Wolverines' six.

The Knights will look to continue their success on Wednesday night as they take on Mary Washington at The Fields. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
