GREENSBORO, N.C.—The Southern Virginia men's lacrosse team won 19-15 against non-conference opponent Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon, with Casey Rich leading the Knights with seven goals.
Rich put the Knights (1-3, 0-1 CAC) on the scoreboard first in the 12th minute, the first of his career high. Five of his goals came in the first half to give Southern Virginia a 9-5 lead at halftime against the Pride (1-5). Rich also added two assists.
Eight other Knights found the back of the net. Freshman Zach Danneman scored his second hat trick of the season and recorded one assist. Spencer Tunick and Anthony Good each scored two goals. Logan Lund, Alex Vaughn, Cameron Bonner, Mike Anderson, and Payton Kimber scored one goal apiece.
Goalkeepr Ian Arave recorded three saves. Logan Lund once again dominated face-off's winning 23 of 32.
The Knights outshot Greensboro 56 to 26.
Southern Virginia returns home on Wednesday, March 9 against conference opponent Wesley College. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
