Women's Swimming Falls Short to Hollins

Roanoke, Va. — The Southern Virginia University women's swim team fell 106-65 on the road in a dual matchup against Hollins University Saturday afternoon.

Leading the way for the Knights with the lone victory on the day was Macy Waite as she won the 100 backstroke in a winning time of 1:11.84. Waite added a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle.

Southern Virginia had notable performances from Emmy Waite in both the 50 and 100 freestyles as she finished second in both. Ellie Burgy placed second in the 1000 freestyle while Emma Merrill came in second in the 200 IM.

The Knights compete next on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Capital Athletic Conference foe St. Mary's (Md.) with a start time of 1 p.m.
