Box Score BREVARD, NC. — The Southern Virginia University football team traveled to Brevard College to take on the Tornados in a USA South Conference matchup with the Knights falling 7-3.
Game Notes
- With eight minutes remaining in the first quarter, Derek Bass sank a 35-yard field goal to put the Knights up 3-0
- Starting the second quarter of play, Taylor Jackson III spotted an open Derek Frazier for the 51-yard touchdown to go ahead 7-3
- Both defenses held strong the remainder of the game, holding each team scoreless with the Tornados holding on to the lead and the victory
- Bishope Apodaca led the defense with six total tackles, along with Dallin Breen, who also recorded six tackles
- Tyler Wester and Dylan Andrew each tallied five tackles to round out the defense
- Cade Nelson grounded the run game with 12 rushes for 48 total yards
Southern Virginia returns home for the final home game of the season in Knight Stadium, taking on Averett University Saturday, October 30. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
