BUENA VISTA, Va. — The Southern Virginia University football team has announced its 2026 schedule following its winningest season since becoming a full-time Division III member. The Knights will play a 10-game slate that includes five home contests.

Southern Virginia opens the season on the road against defending NCAA Division III national champion UW–River Falls. Both teams ranked among the national leaders in forced turnovers last season, setting up an exciting Week 1 matchup on Thursday, September 3.

The Knights will then host back-to-back home games to close out non-conference play, welcoming Averett on September 12 and Keystone College on September 19. Southern Virginia defeated both opponents last season.

Conference play begins after a Week 4 bye, with the Knights traveling to Greensboro on October 3 before returning home to host Brevard on October 10.

Southern Virginia will then embark on its only two-game road stretch of the season, facing Methodist on October 17 and Belhaven on October 24.

The Knights return home for Homecoming on October 31 against N.C. Wesleyan, followed by their final home game against Huntingdon on November 7. Southern Virginia will close the regular season on the road at LaGrange on November 14.
