Southern Virginia Prepares for Battle Against Penn State

BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Southern Virginia University rugby team will face off against Penn State in a battle for conference playoff contention on Saturday, October 29th, with kickoff set for 5 p.m. This matchup will be the first time the teams will meet on the field.

O'Shea Settle and William Stanton will be looked upon to help lead the Knights to victory on Saturday. Both Settle and Stanton were able to get on the board for scores last Saturday against Queens.

"Both teams have had a pretty similar season," said assistant coach Marshall Ferris of the two programs. "We are hoping to get a win to be able to get in the playoff picture. It will be a tough contest but we have had a good week of training and look forward to getting the job done."

The Knights are coming off of a close loss to conference foe Queens University, while the Nittany Lions look to bounce back after a loss last Saturday against St. Bonaventure University.
