BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's lacrosse team took on Berry College in Knight Stadium Saturday afternoon, edging out the Vikings 10-9.

Game Notes

• Southern Virginia held the 2-1 lead after one quarter with the first goal coming from Tennison Schmidt unassisted, and a savvy behind the back goal from Isaac DeGarlais
• Schmidt scored the team's third goal unassisted before Carter Bean scored back-to-back man-up goals off of two Ty Veres assists
• Gabe King got into the mix in the third quarter with two consecutive goals off of two Schmidt assists, while Eric Norr scored his first goal of the season coming back from injury
• Ty Veres locked in the team's victory, scoring his first of the game to lock in the 10-9 victory

The Knights debut in their first USA South Conference matchup on Wednesday, March 16, taking on Averett University on the road. Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.
