BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team took on Ferrum College Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Panthers 7-6. 

Game Notes

• In the first inning, Nick Daynes tripled to left center, recording the RBI to put the team up 1-0
• Later in the inning, Mitchell Smith tallied another RBI, sending Nick Daynes home to make the new score 2-0
• Sinjun Johnson recorded the team's third RBI in the second inning, putting the team back up 3-2
• In the fifth inning, Kyle Thompson doubled down the left-field line, bringing in Luke Roberts for the RBI
• Ethn Bertstrom recorded his first home run of the season in the sixth inning for the two-run home run, tying the game up at six 

Southern Virginia takes on NC Wesleyan on Friday, March 18, in Covington, Virginia. Game time is slated for 3 pm.
