BUENA VISTA, Va. — D3Baseball.com announced its 2026 All-Region teams, with Southern Virginia University's Zack Geertsen earning All-Region honors for the third consecutive season to cap off his standout senior year.
Geertsen, a senior utility player from Draper, Utah, was named to the All-Region Third Team as a utility player. A key contributor both at the plate and on the mound, he added another accolade to an already historic career for the Knights.
In Region 6, Geertsen previously earned Second Team All-Region honors as a designated hitter in 2025 and Second Team Utility honors in 2024, while also being named the 2024 Region 6 Rookie of the Year. In conference play, he collected USA South All-Conference honors for the third consecutive season in 2026.
Last season, Geertsen set a new program record with 69 hits in a single season and concluded his Southern Virginia career as one of the most decorated players in program history.
