BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University softball team took on Ferrum College in a doubleheader matchup at Harvey-Dryden Field Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Panthers in both games. 

Game Notes

• Samantha Johnson recorded the lone hit in the team's first game, while Krystal Kemp recorded one strikeout
• After a scoreless first game, the Knights were able to get more action going in game two 
• Afton Brown led the team with two hits while Adisen Webster recorded one
• Halle Maddock recorded two impressive strikeouts in the circle for the Knights 
• In the fifth inning, Adisen Webster doubled into left field, sending Dykell Jones for the earned run
• The Panthers closed out the game with a sixth-inning run to lock in the 7-1 victory 

The Knights remain home throughout the weekend, taking on Randolph-Macon next on Friday, March 18. Game one is scheduled for 2 pm, and game two is slated for 4 pm.
