BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University softball team dropped both games in their doubleheader series against No.12 Randolph-Macon, falling to the Yellow Jackets in game one 11-1 and 15-2 in game two. 

Game Notes

• Recording hits for the Knights, Adisen Webster, Krailyn Guymon, Sydney Matis, Samantha Johnson, and Emily Oldham each recorded one
• Afton brown brought the lone run of the game in, tallying an RBI
• In the fourth inning, after reaching first on an error by the shortstop, Adisen Webster reached home for run 
• In game two, Dykell Jones, and Adisen Webster each earned two hits while Chloe Nelson, Krystal Kemp, and Krailyn Guymon recorded one hit
• Krystal Kemp got the team fired up in the first inning, hitting a double to right field, recording the RBI, and sending Dykell Jones home for the run to take the 1-0 lead
• In the fifth inning, Adisen Webster hit a single, advancing Jones home again for the second run of the game for the Knights

Southern Virginia returns home on Saturday, March 19, taking on Eastern Mennonite in Harvey-Dryden Field. Game one is scheduled for 1 pm, and game two is slated for 3 pm.
