BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University softball team dropped their doubleheader series against USA South Conference foe Methodist, falling in game one 12-0 and 2-1 in game two. 

Game Notes

• In game two, Krystal Kemp stood tall on the mound, recording four strikeouts while tallying a hit and an RBI
• In the first inning of game two, Kemp double to left center, sending Adisen Webster home for the team's first run of the game
• The Knights kept the Monarchs scoreless the remainder of the game until the seventh inning where Methodist closed out the game with a run to give them the 2-1 victory 

Southern Virginia remains home, taking on Averett on Harvey-Dryden Field on Tuesday, March 29. Game one is scheduled for 2 pm and game two is scheduled for 4 pm.
