Box Score HARRISONBURG, VA. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team took on Eastern Mennonite University on the road Wednesday night, falling to the Royals 11-7.
Game Notes
- Luke Paulson, Aiden Bevier, and Sinjun Johnson led the team with three hits each
- Kyle Thompson followed with two hits while Will Parker, Benjamin Horsley, Tyson Toller, and Luke Roberts each had one
- On the mound, Kenyon Swartz recorded two strikeouts while Nate McCallum had one
- In the first inning, Luke Paulson doubled to left center, recording the RBI, and sending Will Parker home to get the Knights on the board first 1-0
- Southern Virginia had a solid third inning, scoring four consecutive runs to put the Knights up 6-2
- In the bottom of the third, Eastern Mennonite tied the game up 6-6, using a 3-0 run to knot the score
- Kyle Thompson doubled down the left field line, sending Sinjun Johnson in for the run to put the squad back up 7-6
- The Royals' strong sixth and seventh innings gave EMU the 11-7 victory over the Knights
