BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team went 2-for-2 in their games Saturday afternoon, taking down Mid Atlantic Christian University 4-3 in game one and 5-4 in game two. 

Game Notes

• In the first inning, Mid Atlantic put themselves up 2-0 after hitting a homerun, and recording two RBIs
• Luke Roberts tallied the first run of the game for the Knights after Sinjun Johnson doubled
• After an unearned score in the fourth inning, the Knights scored four unanswered runs to take the 4-3 victory in game one
• In game two, Mitchell Smith recorded a double, sending Parker and Thompson home to go up 2-0
• At the bottom of the seventh and both teams tied, Will Parker locked in the victory for Southern Virginia recording the hit and putting the squad up 5-4

Southern Virginia returns to action on Tuesday, March 8, taking on Ferrum College. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.
