Box Score 2 WINCHESTER, VA. — The Southern Virginia softball team took on Shenandoah University in a doubleheader matchup, falling to the Hornets in both games 6-7 in game one, and 3-4 in game two.
Game Notes
- In game one, Southern Virginia went up 5-0 after two innings with Krystal Kemp recording two hits and two RBIs
- Shenandoah rallied together, tying the game up at five heading into the sixth inning
- In the seventh inning, Adisen Webster put the team up 6-5 after hitting a homerun
- Shenandoah clutched up in the seventh inning, tallying two consecutive runs to take the 7-6 victory
- In game two, the Knights again found themselves with comfortable 3-0 lead with Webster, Krailyn Guymon, and Afton Brown recording RBIs
- Shenandoah closed out the game, scoring four consecutive runs to lock in game two 4-3
Southern Virginia takes on Randolph on Wednesday, March 9, on the road. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
