LYNCHBURG, VA. — The Southern Virginia University softball team dropped their doubleheader matchup against Randolph Tuesday night, falling to the Wildcats 8-0 in game one, and 4-5 in game two.

Game Notes

• After a tough defeat in game one, the Knights bounced back in game two, putting up a fight against Randolph
• In the sixth inning of game two, a wild pitch allowed Krailyn Guymon to score the teams first run of the game
• Samantha Johnson set up Krailyn Guymon to score again off of a sacrifice hit
• Krystal Kemp closed out the game, hitting a triple, while recording two RBIs 
• Dykell Jones and Krystal Kemp led the team with two recorded hits, while Adisen Webster, Afton Brown, and Samantha Johnson each recorded one

The Knights take on Guilford at Harvey-Dryden Field on Saturday, March 12. Game time starts at 1 pm.
