NEWPORT NEWS, VA. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team dropped their midweek game against Christopher Newport University Wednesday night, falling to the Captains 5-2. 

Game Notes

• Pitching for the Knights, Will Sprague recorded three strikeouts
• In the sixth inning, Will Parker recorded a double to center field, advancing Kyle Thompson home for the first score of the night
• Getting the second point on the board for the Knights, Will Parker managed a score after the Captains' pitcher was called with a balk

Southern Virginia takes on Mary Baldwin in a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 15. Game time is slated for 3 pm.
