Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, NC. — The Southern Virginia University men's lacrosse team took on Methodist University on the road Saturday afternoon in a USA South Conference matchup, with the Knights defeating the Monarchs 24-11.
Game Notes
- Tennison Schmidt dominated the field, recording nine points off of five goals and four assists
- Freshman Gabe King impress, scoring seven points off of five goals and two assists
- Eric Norr found the back of the net four times to go along with an assist
- Facing off, Jaydon Arnold went 15-for-21 at the faceoff x, and in goal for the Knights, Caleb Brodie recorded seven saves while Landon Roylance recorded six
- After the first quarter, Southern Virginia held onto the 8-3 lead, led by two goals from Gabe King and Eric Norr
- The Knights went into the halftime break with the 13-5 lead, with Tennison Schmidt leading all players in the second with two goals
- Southern Virginia's offense impressed in the third quarter, only allowing one goal
- Isaac DeGarlais and Gabe King scored the final goals of the game, locking in the 24-11 victory
Southern Virginia takes on Greensboro on Wednesday, April 20. Game time is slated for 5 pm.
