BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University softball team dropped their doubleheader series Saturday afternoon to NC Wesleyan, falling in game one 3-0 and 11-2 in the second game. 

Series Notes

• Dykell Jones, Adisen Webster, Krailyn Guymon, and Halle Maddock each recorded one hit in game one
• Pitching, Krystal Kemp recorded four strikeouts
• The Knights stood tall throughout the game, before the Bishops used the final inning to score three consecutive runs to take the 3-0 game one victory
• In the second game, Chloe Nelson recorded three hits, while Chloe Cochran recorded two
• Krystal Kemp tallied two RBIs to lead the team
• In the third inning, Krystal Kemp hit a double, advancing Adisen Webster and Chloe Nelson home for the first runs of the game 

Southern Virginia takes on Greensboro in a doubleheader series on Wednesday, April 20. Game one is scheduled for 2 pm and game two is slated for 4 pm.
