BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team split their double-header series against Pfeiffer University Saturday afternoon, falling in game one 6-3, and taking down the Falcons in game two 9-7. 

Game Notes

• In game one, Kyle Thompson, Will Parker, and Sinjun Johnson led the team with two hits
• Parker continued to impress on the season, adding two RBIs to his totals in the first game
• In the second game, Sinjun Johnson led the way with 3 RBIs while Dylan Boyce followed with two
• Down 1-0 in the second inning of game two, Southern Virginia raced ahead 7-1 with Dylan Boyce and Sinjun Johnson leading the charge with two RBIs each
• In the fourth inning, Southern Virginia made the score 8-4, scoring off of an error by the first baseman
• Nick Daynes scored the final run of the game in the sixth inning, locking in the 9-7 win

Southern Virginia takes on The Apprentice School on Tuesday, March 5, with game time scheduled for 3 pm.
