RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University softball team fell in their doubleheader series against Meredith Saturday afternoon, falling in game 8-0 and 7-2 in game two. 

Game Notes

• In the first game, Chloe Nelson led the team with two hits while Adisen Webster, Krailyn Guymon, and Samantha Johnson each recorded one
• In game two, Afton Brown recorded two hits with Krystal Kemp, Krailyn Guymon, and Allie Cordero tallying one
• Krystal Kemp got the Knights on the board first, hitting a single, sending Dykell Jones home for the run
• Afton brown followed Kemp with an RBI single, scoring Krailyn Guymon

Southern Virginia takes on Salem College on Wednesday, April 6, for a doubleheader series. Game one is set for 2 pm, and game two is scheduled for 4 pm.
