Southern Virginia Men's Lacrosse Sets Single Game Scoring Record on Senior Day

BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's lacrosse team hosted Brevard College in Knight Stadium Saturday afternoon for the team's senior night, with the Knights dominating the Tornados 31-6. 


Game Notes

  • With the total goals scored, Southern Virginia recorded a single-game program record 31 goals scored
  • Tennison Schmidt led all players in the game, scoring nine points off of four goals and five assists
  • Shawn Lamb followed with eight points on three goals and five assists
  • Gabe King had a solid outing, scoring seven points on five goals and two assists
  • After the first quarter, the Knights led the Tornados 7-3 off of two goals from Carter Bean and Gabe King
  • Southern Virginia extended their lead to 11 goals 17-6 after the second quarter, led by three goals from Tennison Schmidt
  • The Knights went on to outscore the Tornados 14-0 in the second half, locking in their 31-6 victory

Southern Virginia takes on William Peace for the team's final regular-season game of the season on Saturday, April 30. Game time is scheduled for 1 pm.
