FAYETTEVILLE, NC. — The Southern Virginia University baseball team dropped both of their games in Saturday's doubleheader, falling to Methodist University 13-0 in game one, and 5-4 in game two.

Game Notes

After a scoreless first game, Southern Virginia came back with a fight in the second game
Mitchell Smith led the team with three hits, followed by Will Parker who recorded two
On the mound, Colby Hoffman and Will Sprague each recorded two strikeouts
In the seventh inning, Jackson Massey singled to the left field, allowing Mitchell Smith and Nick Daynes to get the first runs of the day on the board for the Knights
In the eighth inning, Luke Paulson singled through the left side, sending Nick Daynes and Will Parker home for the scores

Southern Virginia takes on Christopher Newport on Wednesday, April 13. Game time is slated for 3 pm.
