RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University softball team dropped both games in their doubleheader series Saturday afternoon, falling to William Peace 9-0 in game one, and 12-3 in game two. 

Game Notes

• Dykell Jones led the team with two hits in the first game of the series
• Chloe Nelson, Barrett Jessop, and Afton Brown followed with one hit each
• Dykell Jones led the team in the second game of the day, recording one hit (one home run) and 3 RBIs
• Krailyn Guymon, Chloe Cochran, and Katie Russell each recorded one hit
• In the final inning of the second game, Dykell Jones recorded her first career home run, tallying the three-run homer

Southern Virginia takes on NC Wesleyan on Saturday, April 16, for a doubleheader series. Game one is scheduled for 1 pm, and game two is slated for 3 pm.
