COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Southern Virginia University Rugby team competed in the University of Maryland 7's Tournament Saturday, Mar. 11, playing four total games. The Knights competed against Notre Dame College (Ohio), Kutztown University, Salisbury University and the University of Delaware.

The day's first game was a low-scoring close loss to Notre Dame College, 12-5. In the second game afternoon, Kutztown was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities as they defeated the Knights 29-0.

Southern Virginia was able to get back to its winning ways as it trounced the Seagulls from Salisbury 33-5 in a lopsided victory. The momentum continued for the Knights as they defeated Delaware 26-19. The win gave the team a 2-2 record for the day, finishing third overall in Pool play.

Southern Virginia will have three weeks to prepare for the University of Mary Washington 7's tournament on Apr. 1.
