BUENA VISTA, Va. - Ahead of the 2025 USA South championship meet, the USA South released its men's cross country pre-championship poll on Tuesday afternoon.
For the second consecutive year, Southern Virginia University sits second in the poll after garnering 36 points in the voting. Pfeiffer, the defending champions, sit atop the list with 42 points and six of the seven first-place votes.

After winning three consecutive USA South championships (2021-2023), the Knights are looking to reclaim the title after finishing as runners-up last season. They're led by freshman Taylor Weiland and junior Joseph Hughes who will be vying for first team all-conference spots.
Gary Rogers has also shown great promise this season and should be in the mix with Weiland and Hughes. Carter Johnson, Easton Higley, and Truman Meyer will look to trim the gap to the front trio and score valuable points for the Knights.
