BUENA VISTA, Va. - On Monday afternoon, the USA South released its all-conference selections for the 2025 men's soccer season.
After a standout rookie season, forward Tate Hickman represents Southern Virginia University on the All-Conference First Team. Benjamin Simister represents the Knights on the All-Sportsmanship team.
Hickman quickly became a focal point in the Southern Virginia attack, scoring on his first shot on goal in his first career game. From then on, he registered a hat trick against Regent and a two-goal game in a postseason clinching regular season finale against Mary Baldwin.

Across all games, Hickman led all USA South players in goals scored with 11 and was arguably the top rookie in the league throughout the year.
Simister, a two-time first team all-conference performer, lands on the All-Sportsmanship team in his senior season.
Simister collected four goals, including the game winner in a victory over Brevard. During a prolific offensive career, he's totaled 25 goals in just 44 games and has been a key leader in the Knights lineup.
