Buena Vista, Va. - The Southern Virginia men's rugby team started off their spring season in stellar fashion. In their first game since early December, the Knights routed the visiting Hokies of Virginia Tech. 

The Knights started off quickly after the opening kickoff with a quick try from freshman transfer Rylan Frazier, and the scoring would only go up from there. Carson Howard, Pone Aisea, and Andy Faupusa would follow with tries of their own, extending the Knights lead. Despite the Hokies attempt to answer, the Knights were too overwhelming, with Frazier scoring twice more, and wings Eli Wells and Matt Vaigatolo securing the first tries of their SVU careers. Zachery Jones made 5 conversion attempts, and the Knights led 55 to 0 at the half. 

The second half was no different than its predecessor. A great run by Sione Tokelau set up Sikeli Naivalu to start off the scoring, and the onslaught continued from there. Weston Memmott scored shortly after. Wells would score another, and that was followed by Jordan Masuisui scoring his first of the season. Outside backs Mahonri Smith-Falo and O'Shea Settle rounded out the scoring for the Knights, leading to final score of 89 to 0. 

The Knights continue their spring season on the road against Delaware on March 7th, before returning home to face Mary Washington on March 15th.
