Sheaffer Headlines CSC Academic All-America Awards

Buena Vista, VA - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its men's at-large teams for the 2024-2025 Academic All-America awards.

Christian Sheaffer of Southern Virginia University, the reigning AVCA Division lll National Player of the Year for men's volleyball, was named Division lll Men's Academic All-America of the Year.

One student-athlete was chosen to represent each level of NCAA athletics, NAIA, and a College Division. Sheaffer, who's also on the Academic All-America First Team, headlines a group of 47 Division lll athletes who comprise three teams.

With a major in Business Management and Leadership, Sheaffer graduated from Southern Virginia after the 2025 Spring semester. He finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.87, appeared on the CVC All-Academic team three times, and was a member of the business honor society, Chi Epsilon Omega.

On the court, Sheaffer led the Knights to the program's first ever NCAA Championship and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. His 444 kills this season were the most in program history, and he became the Knights' all-time leader in aces.
