BUENA VISTA, Va. — Southern Virginia University's Mosese Luveitasau captured gold with the USA Men's Under-19 team last weekend, helping the squad claim the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Championship title this week in Querétaro, Mexico.

Luveitasau, an outside center from Santa Rosa, California, featured prominently on the championship roster, continuing to establish himself as one of the nation's rising rugby talents.

The USA U19 team dominated the tournament, cruising to a perfect record with decisive victories: 59-0 over Trinidad & Tobago, 31-0 against Jamaica, 33-9 against host Mexico, and 33-3 over the Cayman Islands. In Saturday's championship game on July 12, the team capped its run with a commanding 48-8 win over Jamaica to secure the title.

Across 230 minutes of play—nearly the equivalent of three full matches—the USA U19s outscored their opponents by a staggering 204-20 margin, underscoring the team's dominance on the field.
