BUENA VISTA, Va. — Southern Virginia University men's rugby has officially released its schedule for the 2025 15s season as the team prepares for its fourth year competing in the prestigious Rugby East Conference.
The Knights will face a balanced slate of five home and four away matchups against some of the top collegiate rugby programs in the country.
The season kicks off with a home preseason tune-up against James Madison University, a team Southern Virginia dominated 78-0 last year, followed by a showdown against former Conference Foe, Queens University of Charlotte. These early matchup at The Fields will serve as key preparation ahead of the conference opener.
Conference play begins at home with a marquee matchup against Navy, as the Knights aim to earn their first win over the storied program. One week later, on September 27, the team travels to take on another powerhouse in Army.
Southern Virginia will host Life University on October 11 before hitting the road for two consecutive conference games against Mount St. Mary's (Md.) and Ohio State University on October 25.
The Knights return to The Fields for their final home game on November 8, facing off against University of Mary Washington. Southern Virginia will look to carry over momentum from a dominant 43-0 victory over UMW in last season's 7s competition.
The regular season concludes on the road at Penn State, wrapping up a challenging and competitive 15s campaign against elite national opponents.
