Knights Triumph For Third Straight Win

ST. PAUL'S, Va. The Southern Virginia University Men's Tennis Team swept NCAA D. II foe St. Paul's College 9-0 Friday afternoon to improve their record to 7-8 on the season.  Leading the way was the #1 Doubles team of  Stefan Vlassek and  Adam Williford. They scored an 8-0 victory to move to 6-1 this spring.  The #2 Doubles team of Phillip Whiteley and Caleb Caputo won a hard earned victory 8-4 to move to 3-2 this spring.

Highlights from the singles matches included #1 seed Stefan Vlassek improving to 8-6 on the year as well as #2 Phillip Whiteley moving to 8-7 on the year with 6-0, 6-0 straight set sweeps.  Next up for the Knights will be NCAA Division 3 opponent Lynchburg College of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.  The match is set for Tuesday April 13th at 3:30 pm in Lynchburg, Virginia.
