FROSTBURG Md.—The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team dropped Wednesday's match 7-2 at Capital Athletic Conference-affiliate Frostburg State University.

"We had a competitive match today," said fifth-year Head Coach Tony Caputo. "I'm happy for Pradeep [Ravisankar], who stepped up for us again today, and I was proud of Kenneth [Mize] for having his best performance of the season."

After defeating Frostburg State (2-10) earlier this season 7-2 on Sept. 28, 2012, Southern Virginia (7-7) was swept in all three doubles matches on route to a 7-2 loss to the Bobcats.

Pradeep Ravisankar (Chennai, India) headlined the Knights' play Wednesday evening winning his second consecutive match at the No. 1 spot defeating Frostburg's Aaron Littlejohn. Ravisankar won the first set 7-5 withstanding a strong push from Littlejohn before dropping set two 3-6, but eventually fighting back to win the super tiebreaker 7-6.

Southern Virginia's other point on the night came from junior Kenneth Mize (Parker, Colo.) winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 in his No. 4 singles match over Frostburg State's John Glencoe.

Men's tennis will travel to Bluefield, Va., tomorrow, Thurs., Apr. 11, for its final match of the season facing NAIA Bluefield College at 3 p.m. EDT.
