ASHLAND, Va.—The Southern Virginia University women's tennis team dropped its seventh consecutive match on Tuesday 8-1 at Randolph-Macon College. 

"I'm proud of Mina Romito's effort in singles today," said fifth-year Head Coach Deidra Dryden.  "It's important that we raise our level of play as a team and maintain a positive outlook for the remainder of the season." 

Randolph-Macon (5-9) began the day by taking all three doubles matches (8-2, 8-0, 8-6) from Southern Virginia (3-8) and scored an unanswered eight straight points with wins in the one through five-seed competitions before senior Mina Romito (Walker, La.) earned the Knights lone score of the afternoon at the No. 6-seed in singles play. 

Romito defeated the Yellow Jackets' No.6 singles counterpart Jamie Ramsey 8-5 in the final match of the day respectively. 

Women's Tennis returns to action on Fri., Apr. 5, traveling to Winchester, Va., to face its second straight ODAC-opponent in Shenandoah University.
