About the Knights

Southern Virginia looks to get back on track and end its current five-game slide as it travels to Takoma Park, Maryland, Tuesday afternoon. Three of its last five matches have seen tightly contested overtime losses, and in its most recent defeat, the Knights fell to Methodist University.

Men's soccer is led by sophomore midfielder Carlos Munoz, who has recorded two goals on the year to go along with a team-best nine shots, including six on goal.

Junior Efren Gutierrez and freshman Colin Flynn have had split time at the keeper position, recording 26 and 27 saves, respectively.

About the Shock

A member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), Washington Adventist is coming off a close 3-2 win over the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Playing on a new million-dollar turf field, the Shock look to pick up its third win of the season with a victory over Southern Virginia. 

Washington Adventist is led by junior Emmanuel Ajayi with four goals on the season to go along with one assist.
