YORK, Pa. – The Knights traveled to York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday to take on Spartans in what would end up being their worst loss of the season, 9-0.
The Spartans (9-6-2, 6-1-1 CAC) found the back of the net three times in the first half and then six more times in the second half with 20 total shots on goal in the match.
Hunter Collins, a freshman goalkeeper for Southern Virginia (1-15, 0-7 CAC), saw his first minutes of the season and recorded 4 saves in his 31 minutes of play.
The Knights continued their season-long offensive struggle with only 2 shots on goal by forward Gregg Allen and no goals.
Southern Virginia returns home on Monday October 26 to play Salisbury University (a game postponed because of imminent severe weather earlier this season). The game will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Fields.
